Canine Companions

Canine Companions is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.

Headquartered in Santa Rosa, CA, Canine Companions is the largest non-profit provider of assistance dogs, and is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its dogs, and the quality and longevity of the matches it makes between dogs and people. The result is a life full of increased independence and loving companionship.

Tony Sprout, a former ITG supervisor of field services, volunteered as a dog trainer for Canine Companions in Ohio.

Tony would spend 12 to 16 months training a dog and, once fully trained (with some 30 to 40 commands), was paired with an adult or child with disabilities. The adult or child goes through a week of orientation and training with the dog. If all goes well during the orientation, the dogs graduate and provide on-going assistance to their new owners.

From time to time, Tony would have his companion dog drive along in the ITG service van. One dog joined him all the way to Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Sadly, Tony passed away in November of 2019, but his legacy lives on in the beautiful partnerships he helped create between his dogs and their new owners.

Moraine Preservation Fund (MPF)

ITG Networks is happy to support MPF with an annual business membership. As an avid outdoorsman and lifelong visitor to Moraine State Park, ITG President John Spirnak is honored to have served as Treasurer, Board Member, and Volunteer Boat Captain, assisting with Moraine Preservation Fund (MPF) services to the park and community.

MPF is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) volunteer organization that supports projects in Moraine State Park. MPF has helped to develop important wildlife restoration projects like BATitat, Osprey and Barn Own Reintroduction Programs, along with the development of the McDanels launch area. MPF operates Preston's Pearl, an enclosed 38 passenger pontoon boat that offers interpretive boat tours around Lake Arthur. Programs on the boat teach about the wildlife and geology of Moraine State Park and the development of Lake Arthur.

MPF Mission: To promote community stewardship of natural resources within Moraine State Park, McConnells Mill State Park and Jennings Environmental Education Center.
